Komal Magsi, Ph.D. Patent Agent
Komal Magsi, Ph.D., focuses her practice on drafting and prosecuting patents in the electrical and material science fields. Her prior research experience encompasses electronics, photovoltaics, nanomaterials, optics, and diffusive mechanisms. Komal is also a research assistant professor at the State University of New York at Stony Brook where she teaches online courses in the Department of Technology & Society.
Extended Profile
In 2016 Komal was nominated to the Corps of SUNY Applied Learning Experts and her course in human-centered design is vetted as a national SENCER model course. She has also worked as an IP fellow in academia as well as a design consultant at Stanford’s d.school. While pursuing her Ph.D., Komal did research on photovoltaic batteries at the Center for Life Cycle Analysis at Columbia University.
